How to install the soundbank (.gpbank) files?
I have downloaded the soundbank.gpbank file but I do not know how to install.

1The system (Windows7) incurred in a error when I tried to install SoundBank. I don’t arrive to visualize the windows you explain in your Installation Guide.
The file’s icon “Soundbank.gpbank” appear with a padlock.
If I drag it I can’t drop it in GP6 Windows. -

a double-click would work too. Another way: Have all .gpbank files in the same folder as .exe then launch .exe to install GP6 (uninstall in a clean way before). In the end of .exe installation, .gpbank will be installed automatically. -

I don't have any GP6 window to open? All I can find from the download is the gpbank file.

yes and after downloading it just double click on it or open a GP6 window then drag and drop .gpbank file in this window.

I purchased and downloaded GP6 yesterday and full copy of Soundbank. I can now find the .gpbank file in a folder in 'Downloads' but no GP6 executable file. What next???

Sorry as it turned out I did not have the software loaded. Everything fine now. Thank goodness for grandsons. TBy the way thanks for your help.

You're welcome. Glad it works.
N.B: don't forget to do a DVD-RW backup of ALL files (if you purchased it from internet) (and in my opinion even if you buy a DVD) with the following method :
Backup:
1. The .exe (and all next .exe in the future to keep all releases)
2. The "all-in-one" soundbanks file (1.8Go)
3. The 2 following updates of soundbanks (which are obsolete in the big file) -> acoustic guitars & voice
4. Your license data in a .txt file
5. You could save official video tutorials too if you want
Update your DVD-RW each time a new release or a soundbank update is available on your customer area.

Aghhhh. I am having trouble downloading this for mac. I have GP6 installed fine and can download the soundbanks fine also. I click the banks file and installation begins all is well and it checks the files also. Then it says you need to restart GP6 in order to use the soundbanks. It never actually says installation complete or anything. I've clicked okay and then restarted the app/system on a few occasions and I don't think it has worked (I pressume installation would not begin if it had worked). I've tried this a few times and installation begins again but gets to the same step and doesn't seem to work. I have tried downloading a couple of .gp4 tabs from ultimate guitar but they wont open. I am hoping that this is because the soundbanks aren't installed properly, please help!
However, when I do create a new tab and open the window on the left with the guitar on it there is a soundbanks option that includes multiple guitars/basses/strings/brass etc so maybe it has insalled.
Either way I am unable to open guitar pro tabs and don't know any other possible cause. (perhaps lack of updates? but i assume a .gp4 tab made in 2005 would still work). -

My soundbanks install fully but then GP 6 does the 'checking files' bit...goes on till it reaches 93% on the progress bar and stops there, then it says soundbanks successfully installed but when I open GP 6, there are no additional soundbanks and I cant change guitars or alter the tone of a guitar midsong
